winter wonderland

The perfect gift

Yams is so excited
Christmas is on it's way
She's almost all ready
and is buying gifts today

some tea for her mother
a mug for her dad
but what to get Flaxen?
uh oh, this is bad.

she wants to get him everything
everything he wants and needs
maybe something to play with
or eat, or watch, or read?

what could she get him
that would demonstrate her love
she knows his paws get chilly
maybe some nice gloves

maybe he'd like something
like a really nice toy
one that would always
bring him joy

maybe he needs to
let off creative steam
a colouring book
of the avengers team

none of these ideas
seemed to be enough
picking out the right gift
can be really tough

it needed to say i love you
and I will always care
and i have so much fun
whenever you are there

then she had an idea
a most brilliant plan
she gathered her supplies
and off she ran

she sat down and got busy
spilling her love on a page
she let her creativity flow
and let the story set the stage

she wrote flaxen a book
about a crazy adventure
the story's about friendship
and features flaxen and her!

It was the perfect gift
because it showed him that she cared
and that they had a relationship
that couldn't be compared

John and Julia

John and Julie are in love,
in love with each other and life
and John knows that someday
He'll ask Julie to be his wife

Julie is a waitress
and Johns picking her up from work
one drink turns into many
and they go out to dance and twerk

now its the next morning
and Johns feeling the drinks
he wants to call in sick
but has a shower and rethinks

he drinks his coffee
and prepares for his long day
but just thinking about seeing Julie again
makes everything okay

Bruce

Bruce is on the loose
he's at it again
off on an adventure
and making new friends

he's a free spirit
with an adventurous heart
and that is something
we knew from the start

so we'll put up posters
and alert Caswell cats
we'll search the area
and make new friends and contacts

then we will wait
just like before
the phone will ring
and we'll go to a door

and there will be Bruce
with his cute kitty grin
and we'll pay the guy
and bring Bruce home again

and he'll be so happy
He'll run to his spot
He'll suck on his blanket
and knock over a pot

and then one day
he'll sneak off again
off on an adventure
to make new friends

Chef and Rigatoni

This is a story about Chef and Rigatoni
their friendship could be categorized as anything by phoney

They worked all day together in a kitchen that was quite small,
but because they were together they didn't mind at all

One day Chef noticed Rigatoni was feeling down.
He just wasn't himself and was wearing a frown.

Chef started by asking him if he was okay.
Rigatoni replied "yeah", and then shuffled away.

Chef had not idea about what he could do
to make Rigatoni feel happy instead of blue

Then he remembered if you don't know what to say
doing something thoughtful is always okay

Chef started to combine all of Rig's favourite things;
goat cheese, tomatoes, and truffle oil fit for kings.

He greeted Rigatoni with a big toothy grin
and the most delicious sauce made just for him

Rigatoni was shocked at Chef's thoughtful gift
and felt his bad feelings begin to lift

Although the sauce didn't solve Rigatoni's sorrow
knowing someone cared got him until tomorrow
